Logistics and Access
The logistics of this Amalfi Coast hiking tour are straightforward and flexible.
Arrival is by flight to Naples (or Rome), followed by a direct train connection to Salerno, the official starting point of the tour.
Along the Amalfi Coast, a reliable public bus service allows participants to shorten or skip a stage if needed, reaching the next overnight location without difficulty.
The tour finishes in Sorrento, from where the Circumvesuviana railway connects directly back to Naples and the airport.
From Sorrento, it is also easy to add an extra day on the island of Capri if time allows.

The best time for an Amalfi Coast hiking tour?
Absolutely and strictly late spring, winter, or at the latest early spring.
There are many reasons:
– During these periods, temperatures are perfect for walking without dying of the heat. Consider that the Amalfi Coast is entirely south-facing…
– It’s low season; only during this time of year do hotels and B&Bs accept guests for single nights.
– This is the time when you can enjoy the Amalfi Coast towns with very few tourists… the rest of the year is pure hell!

Tour Duration and Costs: example for 2 persons (*)
The full Amalfi Coast trek lasts 6 days, but if you prefer a shorter 4-day version ending in Positano (DAY 1 + 2 + 3 + 4), this is also possible.
The total guide cost (example for two participants) for your preferred tour duration is therefore:
4 days = €4,250 (*)
6 days = €5,550 (*)
The cost includes the guide service and, if requested, trekking poles for each participant.
(*) For larger groups, a quote will be made based on the exact number of participants.
Accommodations will be suggested and booked by the guide based on your preferred level. The Amalfi Coast offers such a wide range of options that it’s best to tailor them to your needs rather than offering a mid-range option.
