“Via ferrata Austria” is the program that will allow you to explore Tyrol at its best!

DAY 1 – Via Ferrata Austria – Via Ferrata Stuibenfall – Oetztal
Approach: 30 min
Climbing time: 2 hours
Descent: 1 hour

The idea of building a via ferrata in Austria near a waterfall may not be new, but the effect achieved by the Stuibenfall via ferrata is certainly unparalleled for this type of climb! After a quick approach, you’ll almost come into contact with the impressive stream’s water jet, which plummets over 250 meters into the valley. A spectacular climb not to be missed!
DAY 2 – Via ferrata Austria – Via Ferrata Leite – Nassereith
Approach: 20 min
Climbing time: 2 hours
Descent: 50 min

The Leite via ferrata is part of a complex of rock faces near the sports area of the small, quaint village of Nassereith. After just a few meters, it offers a panoramic view of the entire valley, as well as a short but pleasant climb on white limestone. An ideal route, even on unpredictable days.
DAY 3 – Via ferrata Austria – Vie Ferrate Unterlahner / Zimmereben – Zillertal
Approach: 10/20 min
Climbing time: 2 hours
Descent: 45 min

Mayrhofen is the central and most important town in the Zillertal Valley, famous for its glaciers and vast ski areas. Such a renowned mountain area in Tyrol couldn’t be without its via ferratas, and in this case, they’ve built several of varying difficulty levels. In this chapter, I’ll introduce you to the easy via ferrata: Unterlahner, and the more difficult one: Zimmereben, to suit every need… The choice is yours!
DAY 4 – Via ferrata Austria – Via Ferrata Ibex – Ratschings
Approach: 5 min
Climbing time: 2 hours
Descent: 45 min

The latest addition, the Ibex via ferrata, is a classic valley via ferrata that combines interesting (and challenging) rock climbing with beautiful Alpine views. It’s an excellent option for enjoying a sunny spring or autumn day, as it climbs a south-facing rock face.
DAY 4 – Via ferrata Austria – Via Ferrata Olberg – Pfitscher Tal
Approach: 5 min
Climbing time: 2 hours
Descent: 45 min
This the last born via ferrata near the border, a very nice via ferrata located in the first section of the valley Pfitscher Tal / Val di Vizze near Sterzing / Vipiteno town. There are 3 different more difficult (but optional) variants along the line of the ferrata and a final Tibetan bridge to complete this amazing and not too easy climbing…. a good idea to visit this lateral and hidden valley.
The possibilities are not finished… there are again about 60 others via ferratas that are awaiting you!
